Meet The Team

JON

Growing up in the Bay Area, Jon was always surrounded by people in the car community. It all started when his father introduced him to building R/C cars at a young age. He spent most of his time looking for ways to improve and make them faster. Naturally, this obsession trickled over to real cars when he got older. While studying Business at SJSU, he worked part time at a shop installing a variety of aftermarket parts on cars. In 2009, he joined a shop specializing in Lotus cars and soon after was promoted to Lead Technician. Throughout his time there, Jon built and maintained multiple cars for the Lotus Cup USA race series and crewed for the drivers at various race tracks. In 2014, Jon was given the opportunity to pursue his dream and Trackspec Autosports was born. Jon's success seems threefold: 1) He wants everything in the shop to be immaculate; 2) He wholeheartedly enjoys daily problem-solving; and 3) He never stops learning. Even as the owner of Trackspec, you will always find Jon working on a variety of projects in the shop. One of his all-time favorite projects was putting a Honda K24 engine in his Lotus Exige, which continues to bring customers in from all over the US to have the same done to their car. In his free time, you can find Jon at the race track or hiking, camping, and backpacking with his wife, daughter, and their two dogs.

vICTORIA

Victoria grew up in Carson (South Los Angeles), moved to the Bay Area in 2005 to attend college at UC Santa Cruz (go Slugs!), and then law school at Golden Gate University. She received her CA bar license in 2013. In 2015, Victoria decided to join Trackspec full-time, and has not looked back since. At Trackspec, she wears many hats and enjoys all of it. On her spare time, she loves spending quality time with Jon and their daughter, trying out new vegan recipes, hanging out with friends and customers at the track, cuddling with her dogs, or enjoying the outdoors.

MATTEO

Matteo is a San Jose native with Italian roots. He has been around motorsports since he was born, because his Grandpa raced karts and off-road cars for years. Naturally, Matteo started his career racing karts when he was very young. In addition to working at Trackspec, Matteo is an active crew member for a go-kart race team and a Spec Miata team. Shortly after joining us, Matteo attained his own competition racing license, and started racing in Spec Miata as well. In Trackspec, he wears many hats and has been a vital member of our team. He played a significant role in building Trackspec’s endurance race car, the E46 M3, and has assisted in other builds. Besides his Miata, he has also owned several E46s that he drives on the street. Matteo’s favorite racetrack is Sonoma Raceway because it's a challenging, but rewarding track to learn.

MIKE

Mike has a passion for all things motorsports. He actually started his career, straight out of high school, as a mechanic at a Honda dealership. After ten years of climbing the ranks there, Mike felt a desire for change. He felt that working at the dealership didn't align with what he really loved about "wrenching" on cars. Luckily for us, he joined the Trackspec team and has been an integral member since. In his spare time, Mike enjoys maintaining his fish tanks, camping, and going to the race track in his FK8 Civic Type R. One of Mike’s proudest accomplishments to date is being able “to cook a rack of ribs to perfection outdoors in the middle of a blizzard, and had to fight off frostbite and hypothermia.” Thus, he has become our resident & track-side grill master.
